About
Experience
As a Group Exercise Instructor and Personal Trainer for over 35 years, I started first as an instructor and caught the fitness bug years ago at the Nautilus Fitness Gym in California - where I was courted to become a new trainer through their program. I took that love to the East Coast instructing at the Olympiad and The Edge Sports & Fitness in Vermont.
Through the years, I have been trained and certified in 3 Personal Training programs and have been certified in over 15 different group training programs, including Spin, Kettlebell, Aqua, PiYo, Kickboxing, and 5 Les Mills Programs - Achieving Level 2 Elite trainer for BodyPump and Level 2 for ISCA Kickboxing.
I have competed in NPC Bodybuilding, placing as high as 3rd in the Middle Weights division and in 2003 became Miss Vermont Fitness.
Presently, I am a Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor at the YMCA of Martha's Vineyard, and just came off my 14th year of Personal Training and Group X at the Field Club at the Boathouse in Edgartown.
My experience includes Group Exercise Coordinator at the YMCA of Martha's Vineyard, running a successful 75 class-a-week program with over 35 instructors. Not only planning and scheduling classes, and handling payroll, but mentoring and helping instructors achieve their goals in the fitness world. I planned and executed special events including the quarterly launches for the Les Mills programs. I researched and advertised new classes and scouted for new talents, recruited and hired staff.
